A VISIT to Chinotto Cafe is the perfect way to spend the morning. Or your lunchtime. Or the afternoon.
In fact, Chinotto Cafe is pretty much perfect any time of the day.
The quaint little venue tucked away in East Fremantle is the brainchild of owner Michael Allegretta.
Allegretta has worked in hospitality for more than 10 years and he has married this experience with his knowledge of traditional Italian fare to come up with what is a simple yet extremely fulfilling menu.
Food prices range from as little as $4.90 to a maximum of $13.90, making a visit to Chinotto Cafe not only pleasant and relaxing, but also extremely affordable.
Two customer favourites when it comes to lunchtime are the roasted vegetable toasted sandwich and the lasagne.
A sublime selection of roasted vegetables is served between two fresh, thick slabs of delicious bread and is a deliciously simple lunch treat.
The lasagne is a lesson in rustic Italian fare.
A delicious bechamel sauce and high quality beef mince are layered throughout the dish, giving the lasagne a full flavour without being overpowering.
The rest of the menu contains a range of vegetarian, gluten-free and organic delights for both breakfast and lunch.
However, the food is not the only reason to visit – Allegretta says coffee is a big part of the business for him.
Patrons can also browse the book collection if they fancy a read while having a bite to eat, or sample some of the gourmet food products on sale in the retail area.
Chinotto Cafe is a perfect fit for the East Fremantle area – relaxed, unassuming and wholesome, just like the food and coffee served within.
