Power to be saved

ALL governments need revenue to exist. To have this they need to create jobs.

So why not put solar panels on all government-owned buildings? This will generate jobs in the solar industry, plus generate income from the revenue collected from taxes.

It will also save governments the astronomical electrical bill.

Governments will also generate income from the spare energy being sold back to the energy companies and thus lowering our carbon footprint as the energy companies will not need to burn so much fossil fuel.

It doesn’t stop there: all street lighting could have their own little solar panel like the emergency phones on the freeways.

The energy companies could invest in the production of solar panels and the inverters that are needed instead of buying them overseas.

They could also set up back-up stations that can store excess energy like a whole range of battery enclosures.

We have the transformer stations, so why not battery stations.

Plus to take it even further, have rainwater tanks attached to all government-owned buildings to save water. This could be used for toilets and reticulation.

Why is it so difficult for all types of governments to do the right thing? These ideas could be implemented by all government from Federal, State and all the way to local councils.

Just think: if they implement these ideas and saved money then we might get an unexpected decrease in our rates.

Michael don't you realise that the monies been spend by State/Local Govt's. is taxpayers/ratepayers and really as long as it is not personally coming out of the pockets of thr pollies/councillors they don't care as you can see they have always been fairly cavalier with our money. If the run out they just increase taxes/rates , no problem. We simply do not have very bright people in either (dis)organistaions. Amen
