ASTHMA triggers such as colds, flu and winter weather mean people with asthma should get check-ups now, according to the Asthma Foundation.
Community asthma educator Yvonne Ashworth said people with asthma need to review their condition with a doctor and “make sure everything is ok” at this time of year.
She said a doctor might recommend getting a flu shot or changing medication, which should be done ahead of the flu season because medications could take up to five weeks to kick in.
