PEEL Health Campus staff have tested new protective clothing for use during surgical procedures that require X-rays.

Clinical nurse manager Deb Lynch said staff were very happy with the new lightweight gowns because they reduced shoulder strain and enabled greater flexibility of movement at work.

“This is one of many strategies hospital management has initiated to improve occupational health and safety,’’ she said.
