THE camaraderie between the hosts of Coast FM’s breakfast show is obvious.

Ali Hill is the resident mother hen, Aaron Chilcott is the joker and new crew member Mark Readings is the sports-guy.

Aaron is in his 20s, Ali her 30s and Mark his 40s, and together they cover the various demographics of their listeners.

“The songs we play reflect all three of us,” Mark said.

“I enjoy the style of music; it is a good blend and caters for younger people through to people in their 40s,”

This is Mark’s first time as host of a breakfast show.

“I get up at about 5.30 and that’s the tricky bit, the travel factor,” he said.

“If I won lotto I would have bought a helicopter to fly down.”

Mark said he has had no trouble slotting into the show and Ali and Aaron have welcomed him warmly.

“The guys have been really accommodating, Aaron’s corny jokes perk us up in the morning,” he said.

“It’s worked pretty well because these guys have done the show for a while and I bring an extra voice and another point of view.”

Presenter Ali Hill said the new trio were gelling well together.

“We are having lots of fun and Mark is giving the show the sporting edge with first hand info as it comes through,” she said.

“We have all clicked really well.”

Tune into Ali, Aaron and Mark at Breakfast on 97.3 Coast FM.
