QUINNS Rocks Fishing Club held its monthly meeting competition on Sunday, August 15.

The angling conditions – boat and beach – resulted in a member record participation which in turn created the usual goodwill and competitiveness.

The winners were:

Men’s division:

1st Chris Tan 92 points, 2nd Henry Boogaard 60, 3rd Gamini Jayaweera 30.

Women’s div: 1st Justine Coleman 10 points.

Fish of the day: Henry Boogaard dhufish 3.53kg.

Species caught (six): Winner Chris Tan with five species.

The next competition will be held on September 19, launching from the Mindarie boat ramp at 7am.
