KYLIE McLennan has only been training greyhounds for little over a year, but she is quickly becoming accustomed to success through the talents of her kennel star Roxy Mac.
The Barragup-based trainer and the on-the-up chaser combined to capture the Mandurah Middle Distance Challenge (647m) at Kanyana Park last Friday, following a brilliant front-running effort from Roxy Mac.
Roxy Mac burst straight to lead out of box five and she gave the rest of the field, including race favourite Mcqueen, no chance as she left them in her wake.
She crossed the finish line nearly three lengths ahead in a new race record time of 36.66.
Roxy Mac had her colours lowered to Mcqueen during the heat stage the previous week but on this occasion was able to reverse fortunes with her more experienced rival.
