SWAN View-based Australian Superbikes (ASBK) racing team Aark Racing Triumph won both its races at Hidden Valley in Darwin over the weekend.

The privateer team managed by Andy Offer was competing in the supersport category of the ASBK championship.

Team rider Mitchell Carr, from New South Wales, recorded the fastest laps in both races, with a time of 1:10.45 in race one and 1:10.725 in race two.

Offer said the wins put Carr top of the ASBK 2012 ladder by 11 points, in front of factory teams Honda and Suzuki.

He said he was extremely pleased with the result and looked forward to continuing the team’s success at Queensland in June.

Round three of the ASBK championship will be held at Barbagallo Raceway, along with the V8 Supercars, from May 4 to 6.

However, the supersport bikes will not compete again until round five in Queensland in June 1-3.
